In a rare display of global solidarity, Colombo will play host to the International Peace Parade on 6 September 2026, widely regarded as one of the most iconic and symbolically powerful events of the Manhunt International World Finals 2026. Contestants and delegates representing nearly 40 countries will gather in the heart of the capital to send a single, unified message to the world: peace.
Powered by Fairway Colombo, the parade will begin at 3.00 p.m. at the Dutch Hospital Precinct, drawing together international contestants, foreign delegates, diplomatic representatives, distinguished guests, media personnel and members of the public โ all under the banner of โONE WORLD โ ONE HUMANITY โ WORLD PEACE.โ
A Platform for Global Unity
Far from a purely ceremonial gathering, organizers describe the Peace Parade as a deliberate initiative to harness the international reach of Manhunt International and channel it into a message of unity, friendship and harmony among nations. With young men from Asia, Europe, Africa and beyond walking side by side, the event offers a rare and visible moment where cultural, national and regional differences give way to shared purpose.
National Institutions Join the Message
Lending further weight to the occasion, Sri Lankaโs own national institutions have been invited to take part. The Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Police are expected to participate alongside government representatives and diplomatic guests, underscoring the stateโs endorsement of the paradeโs humanitarian message.
Ceremonial highlights under consideration include performances by the Armed Forces bands, a mounted Police contingent, and โ subject to operational feasibility and the necessary approvals โ a Sri Lanka Air Force ceremonial helicopter flypast carrying the National Flag of Sri Lanka alongside a World or Peace Flag. Organizers hope the display will crystallize the eventโs central theme:
